Laura Harms challenged us to add the colors of the rainbow to this week’s I Am the Diva Zentangle Challenge #222 (wow, 222!). I was gung-ho to get started as I have a new box of every color Gelly Roll pen, and I was waiting for a project to test the vibrantly colored gel pens. (Although when the colors dried, they lost some of their luster.)
I learned two things:
- Combining color isn’t easy!
- I need to find a course on color theory or how to use colors that complement each other.
I used Rick’s Zentangle Paradox for the tangle: four triangles along the edge and a small square one in the center. I got the inspiration to try this from the Enthusiastic Artist (she has a terrific “and then more” series on how to take tangles to the next level).
How did you learn about color? Let me know if you know of courses or articles explaining.
