It’s great to be participating in the weekly It’s a String Thing Zentangle® Challenge. For various reasons, I’ve been busy and missed the last two weeks.
Adele Bruno of Tickled to Tangle challenged us to use String Pattern 085 by Cheri Hartwick and tangles:
- Mumsy by CZT Sandy Bartholomew
- Printemps by Zentangle co-founder Maria Thomas
- Kelp by Nancy Domnauer
I have drawn Mumsy for a while, and I never realized that the insides of each “flower” petal were auras, drawn in later. I always thought the layers built up as you went around adding more petals. Here Adele illustrates tips for drawing Mumsy.
And here are more tips from Adele, this time for drawing Printemps.
How did you do this challenge? I can’t wait to see Adele’s blog post on Monday with the results!
