In October, I was an active participant at the Certified Zentangle Teacher workshop in Providence, RI. From what I understand, it’s a tradition for Rick and Maria, or their daughter Molly, to announce a new tangle. This year it was Arukas, created by Molly Hollibaugh. It’s a fascinating tangle, with many possibilities for tangelations.
Needless to say, I was very excited to give Arukas a try and was happy when Adele’s, Tickled to Tangle, weekly It’s a String Thing Challenge #71, included Arukas as a monotangle. (I did add in some Tipple just because I seem add it to all my Zentangle tiles lately.)
As an added bonus, there’s a challenge going on on I Am the Diva asking tanglers to use the new tangle Arukas. See all the entries here. (And WOW, I won a copy of Carole Ohl’s 2015 Tangle a Day Calendar!!! I’ll be checking my mailbox every day—can’t wait, and thank you Laura Harms!)
