For last week’s Zentangle challenge, Joey wanted to celebrate her Canadian Thanksgiving. She challenged us to use tangle patterns for each letter of THANKS.
I had never tried any of these tangles, and I can tell you, Half Onion is a new favorite! I ran out of room to add Sunflower, so added it as a singleton to three corners.
I debated whether to make the string in the shape of a traditional Thanksgiving item like a pumpkin, turkey, or cornucopia, but decided to create a random string and tangle. Actually, the middle kind of suggests a pie. 🙂
Now I’m in the mood for our American Thanksgiving—and to give thanks for this year.
