Bravo to this class of (almost all) new tanglers. On this summery spring day, seven ladies (plus my helper) got together for a Zentangle 101 class. After adding a pencil border and a Z-shaped string pattern, I showed the group how to tangle Crescent Moon, Hollibaugh, Cubine, and Printemps. Their enthusiasm for Zentangle art shows in their amazing results. After the tangles were completed, they learned about shading, which added such depth and interest.
We had time for a monotangle on a Bijou tile. Take a look at this group of Maryhill tangles! This is such a fun tangle to teach as the results are incredible. I’m sure their families and friends will say, “How did you do that?!”
What a fun day. A big shoutout and thanks to the host for gathering a group of friends and allowing me to introduce them to the world of Zentangle!
